Due to the success of The Community Initiatives of New York (TCIONY) in addressing community needs and driving positive change, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our new division in Miami Beach, Florida: The Community Initiatives of Florida (TCIOFL). We are excited to collaborate with Miami Beach PD, the P.A.L, and Miami Beach schools to bring transformation to the youth and their families through our T.A.G. program.

The Community Initiatives of New York (TCIONY) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization dedicated to the improvement and success of local organizations and communities. We address both individual and community needs through strategic partnerships with corporate allies and community leaders, providing programs that serve as stepping stones for personal and communal progress.

TCIONY was founded to serve underrepresented Black and Brown communities in New York City, ensuring they receive the justice, equity, and opportunities they deserve. We empower these communities with the knowledge and voice to combat systemic obstacles. Our commitment is to strengthen our community, being a reliable support system for those who depend on us.

Our flagship program, Teaching A Generation (T.A.G.), provides a safe space for youth in challenging situations through weekly T.A.G. Nights (#YOUTHSPEAKS). This initiative allows young people to express their thoughts and feelings about their home life, education, and surroundings. They delve into topics such as street reputation, school opinions, and personal ideologies. Additionally, T.A.G. stands for Teens Against Guns, emphasizing our commitment to reducing youth gun violence through advocacy and education.

TCIONY actively engages youth in anti-gun rallies, marches, and corner occupations, encouraging them to develop positive perspectives and stay out of harm's way. Through these efforts, we aim to inspire at-risk teenagers to envision a better future for themselves.
